Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivering goods efficiently and safely. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism while on the road.
Duties
- Operate lorries to transport goods to various locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
- Communicate effectively with planners and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, promoting safety at all times..
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid HGV licence.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a tipper driver is advantageous
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting vehicle issues is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
