We need a sales target smashing Trade Sales Counter Representative with excellent customer service skills. You will be a first point of contact for our customers in our Metal Supermarkets Gateshead Store working face to face, via email or over the phone. With our comprehensive training program to help with skills and metal knowledge you will offer help and advice to customers, process their orders through to delivery, liaise with suppliers, etc.
Working within a team environment you will focus on sales targets and conduct yourself in a professional manner conducive to generating a team attitude toward maintaining effective customer relationships.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Use sales skills to reach and excel sales targets
- Provide superior customer service and a high level of customer satisfaction
- Build new and maintain current customer relationships through efficient quote management, order processing, sales, providing customer updates, managing delivery and stock requirements, etc
- Organise some purchases to ensure delivery and stock requirements are met
- Working within your team you will assist with some material handling and metal processing to ensure we deliver outstanding customer service
- Perform other duties as directed by the Assistant or Store Manager
Qualifications/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Possess strong sales skills, a passion for sales, and, strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with the use of computers
- One year of sales experience, ideally in Trade Sales, providing help and assistance to customers, meeting targets, good teamwork, organised, reliable, good timekeeping, etc.
- One year of customer support experience processing customer orders, and handling quotes, queries, etc
- Self-motivated with an acumen for sales targets and providing great customer satisfaction
- Trade counter experience would be an advantage
- Metal and metal related product knowledge are a benefit but not essential

- Wage £13.75/hr equivalent to £30,030 pa plus bonus as below:
- You receive a guaranteed bonus of £1,800 in your first year! Our Annual On Target Incentive = £2,400 although you can earn more than this as it is uncapped, the more the Store beats target the more you earn!!
- Additional pension contributions/holiday options offered after 2 years.
- Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm, plus you will be required to work 4 hours every second Saturday from 8:00am – 12:00pm
