Portfolio Contract Manager – Commercial
Hours: 35 Hours Per Week, Tuesday to Thursday
Contract: 12 Week Temporary Assignment (Specialist Skillset Required)
We're recruiting a Portfolio Contract Manager – Commercial to lead the effective remobilisation and demobilisation of contracts across London, Sussex and Kent. This is a high-impact role, ideal for an experienced contract and project management professional confident working across complex commercial or housing-related arrangements and engaging with senior stakeholders.
About the Role
As a Portfolio Contract Manager, you'll lead the remobilisation and demobilisation of contracts across multiple regions and residential property portfolios. You'll coordinate with key business functions, maintain strong project governance and risk controls, and ensure projects are delivered effectively against agreed requirements and timescales.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the remobilisation and demobilisation of contracts across London, Sussex and Kent
- Managing the remobilisation and demobilisation of a London contract covering approximately 1,300 mixed-tenure homes
- Managing the demobilisation of a Sussex and Kent contract covering approximately 300 homes
- Coordinating with business areas including building safety, compliance, housing, IT and performance
- Engaging with senior stakeholders, including the Executive Team, Leadership Team and Business Leads
- Maintaining the project risk and mitigation register, ensuring risks are identified and managed effectively
- Taking ownership of project governance and ensuring appropriate controls are maintained
- Preparing and delivering clear, accurate project reports and updates
- Ensuring projects are delivered effectively against agreed requirements and timescales
- Managing competing priorities and coordinating multiple business functions to meet tight deadlines
Requirements
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience managing commercial or housing-related contracts
- Strong project delivery and contract management experience
- Experience managing contract mobilisation and/or demobilisation
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leaders
- Strong understanding of project governance, risk management and reporting
- Ability to coordinate multiple business functions and deliver work to tight timescales
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Experience within the housing or social housing sector would be advantageous
- Experience working across building safety, compliance, housing, IT or performance functions would be advantageous
- Experience managing contracts covering large residential property portfolios would be advantageous
- Experience working within a complex organisational structure would be advantageous
