An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Oral Surgery Department at Bristol Dental Hospital as a Specialty Dentist in Oral Surgery . This post offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic dentist to develop their experience within a busy specialist Oral Surgery service while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality Oral Surgery care, including referral triage, outpatient assessment and treatment, dentoalveolar surgery under local anaesthetic, oral biopsy procedures, and participation in intravenous sedation and paediatric general anaesthetic services where appropriate. The post holder will also support the Emergency Dental Service and play an active role in service development, quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
Working within a supportive and progressive department, you will collaborate closely with colleagues from Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine, Restorative Dentistry, Special Care Dentistry and Paediatric Dentistry, helping to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care.
This position is ideally suited to a dentist with hospital-based Oral Surgery experience who is looking to further develop their clinical skills within a specialist environment. Opportunities are available to participate in audit, research, service evaluation and professional development activities.
