Lloyd’s Animal Feeds are a family-owned business, with feed mills across the UK, supplying animal feed to the Dairy, Beef, Sheep, Pig and Poultry Markets. As a leader in farm animal nutrition, Lloyd’s works with key customers to deliver highly valued nutritional feed solutions, producing quality products to the highest standards. As well as supplying feed to independent farmers, we own and work closely with contract producers in rearing, laying including the broiler sector. We have developed an enviable professional and technical reputation within the feed industry for listening to customers and delivering on farm results.
We are looking for a professional Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee the Organisation’s Oswestry operations within the Animal feed Mill Business. You will need to have at least 5 years’ experience in Mill Management, preferably animal feed. The successful candidate will be able to create & promote a high-performance culture, lead strategic initiatives, driving the business forward whilst ensuring the Mill is operating at the highest standards maintaining efficiency. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is willing to go above and beyond in their role.
Successful Candidate attributes.
· Previous experience of managing a feed mill within a fast-paced industry. Engineering knowledge would be an advantage.
· Conscientious and focused with the ability to act quickly, accurately, taking ownership.
· Able to maintain & improve mill costs within budget restraints, whilst reporting KPI’s to the Board of Directors.
· Excellent communication and Leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop across the workforce including Transport & Maintenance.
· Achieving optimum performance of the mill, ensuring planned preventative maintenance programs to minimise time lost through breakdowns.
· Ensure a safety-first working culture and a safe working environment which meets all business and legal requirements.
· Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices.
· Ideally degree educated in business and/or agriculture.
