Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes served
- Manage food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining high standards of presentation and flavour
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across the kitchen
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently
- Train and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development within the team
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Assist in serving customers during busy periods when necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
