The Recruitment Coordinator plays a key role in delivering an efficient, professional and consistent recruitment service across GB Railfreight.
In this role, you will coordinate vacancies, candidate screening, pre-employment checks and onboarding activities, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring managers.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll use your organisational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities, build strong relationships across the business and help attract great people to GB Railfreight.
As part of a collaborative Talent Acquisition team, you will contribute to continuous improvement, uphold high standards of compliance and champion an inclusive and positive recruitment experience.
This role can be based in London, Peterborough, or Doncaster.
The salary on offer is £30,000 - £32,000.

Main Responsibilities
Recruitment Administration
- Create and publish job adverts and administer vacancies through our recruitment system.
- Schedule interviews and assessments, manage correspondence and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare offers and recruitment paperwork accurately and within agreed timescales.
Candidate Management and Experience
- Act as a key candidate contact, providing timely updates, feedback and responses to queries.
- Manage expectations and escalate delays or concerns to maintain a positive experience reflecting GBRf's values.
Candidate Screening Support
- Review applications against essential criteria and support shortlisting and screening.
- Arrange screening interviews, prepare assessment information and record outcomes accurately for hiring managers.
Talent Pool Administration
- Maintain talent pools and support engagement with prospective candidates.
- Assist with attraction campaigns, careers events, recruitment marketing and apprenticeship activity.
Diversity and Recruitment Reporting
- Collect and monitor recruitment diversity data, outcomes and performance measures.
- Assist with recruitment reports and metrics.
Pre-Employment Checks
- Coordinate right to work, references, medical assessments, DBS and industry-specific compliance checks.
Onboarding
- Coordinate the move from recruitment to onboarding, including new starter documentation.
- Liaise with managers and HR colleagues to complete onboarding smoothly and on time.
Skills and Experience
Essential
Experience in recruitment coordination or HR administration.
Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
Clear written and verbal communication, with strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Desirable
Experience of high-volume recruitment in rail, logistics, engineering or operational environments.
Knowledge of recruitment compliance and experience of attraction campaigns or events.
