About Grand Depart GB 2027 Ltd
In 2027 the UK will host the Grand Depart of both the Tour De France and the Tour De France Femmes, Avec Zwift. This will be the first time in history that both races have departed from the same country, outside of France. A landmark social impact programme will also be delivered across the UK, tackling inactivity, improving mental wellbeing, boosting economic growth and supporting communities to thrive.
A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) – Grand Depart GB 2027 – will maintain oversight of the delivery of the events and will manage public funding on behalf of DCMS, Scottish Government, Welsh Government and UK Sport.
The SPV is a Joint Venture between UKEL (a new sports events company) and British Cycling.
British Cycling will deliver the operational and business function, social impact and volunteer programmes along with all consumer facing functions, on behalf of partners.

This is a unique opportunity for a highly organised, proactive and discreet professional who can operate confidently at executive and board level while coordinating across a wide range of stakeholders and workstream
What will you be doing?
Executive & Board Support
- Manage the MD’s / Chair’s / Director’s diary, scheduling, and travel arrangements to ensure efficient use of time.
- Prepare, proof, and edit documents, presentations, and briefings for Board, stakeholders, and partners.
- Support the Directors team and Company Secretary with preparation for Board, Funders Groups and other meetings, including preparation of agendas, meeting logistics (travel, meeting room booking, etc), collating papers from across the business, preparing presentations, updating the secure Board portal, minute taking and follow up.
Project & Event Coordination
- Track key actions from senior meetings and ensure timely follow-up.
- Assist the Grand Depart PMO team in British Cycling with monthly PMO report collation
- Support coordination between workstreams (operations, finance, communications, stakeholder relations).
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with senior representatives from ASO (Amaury Sport Organisation), UK Sport, government departments, local authorities, and sponsors.
- Ensure the MD and Chair are fully briefed for all external engagements.
- Draft correspondence, reports, and briefing notes for external partners.
Administrative support
- Team administration, including document management, filing systems, and information flows.
- Support with the administration of team activities, travel & accommodation, and HR processes.
- Support for the finance function, including raising PO’s and invoices.
- Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Support with hospitality, accreditation, and protocol events as required.
What we’re looking for:
- Significant experience providing executive support to senior leaders, executives, boards or committees within a complex organisation.
- Outstanding diary, meeting and travel management skills, with the ability to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities and ensure executives are fully prepared for engagements.
- Experience supporting Board and governance processes, including agenda preparation, collation of papers, board portal administration, minute taking and action tracking.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft, proofread and prepare high-quality reports, presentations, briefing papers and correspondence for senior audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to build effective working relationships with senior representatives from public sector bodies, governing organisations, partners and suppliers.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail under pressure.
- A highly organised and methodical approach, with excellent administration, document management and information management skills.
- Strong judgement, professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Experience supporting events, hospitality programmes, accreditation processes or protocol activities would be advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
- A positive, adaptable and collaborative approach, with a willingness to work flexibly and contribute wherever needed to support the successful delivery of the event.
- Calm and composed under pressure.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
