We are looking for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join our experienced team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is part-qualified ACCA (preferred) or has equivalent practice experience and is looking to continue developing their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
Working alongside our Accounts Senior and management team, you'll be responsible for preparing accounts and supporting a varied portfolio of clients across multiple industries.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Preparing Corporation Tax computations and returns.
- Assisting with personal tax and business tax matters where required.
- Preparing VAT returns and management accounts.
- Bookkeeping and reconciliations using cloud accounting software.
- Liaising directly with clients and responding to day-to-day queries.
- Supporting the wider team to ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Ideally 2-4 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
- ACCA part-qualified (preferred), AAT qualified, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience preparing year-end accounts for a variety of businesses.
- Good knowledge of Corporation Tax and VAT.
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work well within a close-knit team.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to provide excellent client service.
