Washroom Service Driver
A full-time, permanent position has become available within our growing hygiene company based at our Head Office in Walsall. We are a family-orientated business and are looking to add another member to our existing team.
Hours
Monday to Friday
- Approximately 40+ hours per week
- Working hours will vary between 5:00am and 5:00pm, depending on your route and workload.
- This is not a 5:00am-5:00pm working day. Most shifts are typically 8-10 hours, including travel time.
- Overtime is available and paid where applicable.
- Applicants must be flexible, as start and finish times will vary from day to day.
Job Description & Duties
You will travel to customer premises throughout the Greater Midlands and surrounding areas, with some routes covering Liverpool, Bristol, Cambridge and North Wales. You will be allocated your own route and company vehicle and, following training, will work independently while building excellent relationships with your regular customers.
Your duties will include:
- Servicing washroom facilities, including sanitary units, air fresheners, hand towel dispensers and soap dispensers.
- Servicing water cooler units.
- Exchanging dust mats.
- Delivering hygiene products.
- Collecting clinical waste.
Our customers include nursing homes, doctors' surgeries, schools, colleges, nurseries, restaurants, hotels and football stadiums.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (maximum of 3 penalty points accepted).
- Live within a reasonable travelling distance of our Walsall Head Office.
- Physically fit, as the role involves regular lifting, carrying, bending and climbing stairs.
- Friendly and professional manner.
- Confident driver.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Reliable, adaptable and flexible.
- Confident using a tablet/iPad.
- Previous experience is not essential, although it would be advantageous.
- If you do not already hold an ADR qualification, you must be willing to undertake ADR training, which will be fully funded by the company.
This role may particularly suit applicants with previous experience in the care sector or as a delivery driver.
Please Note
This role involves collecting bags of clinical waste, including sanitary waste, nappies, swabs and dressings. Applicants should ensure they are comfortable carrying out these duties before applying.
Due to the nature of our customer base, the successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, which will be paid for by the company.
