Job Summary
Owen installations ltd are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team of fitters, the job will involve manual installations of various storage systems, these will invlude:
Shelving, pallet racking, cantilever racking ,mezzanine floors , mesh partitions, anti collapse mesh and barrier/hand rail systems.
Duties
- Install storage systems according to technical schematics and specifications, ensuring precise alignment and secure fitting.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble, modify, or repair storage units and related structures.
- Interpret construction drawings and technical diagrams to facilitate accurate installation.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement and secure anchoring of storage solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Perform maintenance or adjustments on existing storage systems as required.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations during all phases of installation work, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Assist with other construction or fabrication tasks such as carpentry, masonry, plastering, or roofing when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience related rolls is highly desirable but training can be given to the right candidate
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in installation and fabrication tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and installation instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of safety standards relevant to construction sites and installation procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if required.
- Relevant certifications or licences in construction trades (e.g., CSCS card) are advantageous but not essential, ideally the candidate will have Ipaf, cscs, forklift and seirs qualification.
- Full driving licence is preferable.
This position WILL involve working away anywhere in the UK up to 4 nights a week, all accommodation etc will be supplied, a lot of work will be local but working away from home will be expected when needed
The right candidate should have a great can do attitude and have pride in workmanship, time keeping and self discipline is essential.
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
