Nestlings Nursery is a warm, caring, and well-established nursery located in the heart of Cardiff City Centre. We are proud to offer high-quality early years education and childcare for up to 46 children each day. Our team is passionate about giving every child the best possible start in life, and we are now looking for an exceptional Nursery Manager to lead them.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated early years professional to take on a leadership role in a thriving city centre nursery.
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, leading a dedicated team, ensuring the highest standards of care and education, maintaining occupancy and maintaining full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, inspiring, and supporting the nursery team to deliver outstanding care and early years education
- Ensuring full compliance with CIW regulations, safeguarding requirements, and all relevant legislation
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with children, families, and the wider community
- Managing occupancy, budgets, and nursery operations effectively
- Driving continuous improvement across all areas of the nursery
- Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and staff rotas
- Supporting staff development, training, and wellbeing
What We're Looking For
- A recognised early years qualification (Level 3 minimum; Level 5 or above desirable)
- Previous nursery management or deputy management experience
- A thorough understanding of the Curriculum for Funded Non-Maintained Settings and the Early Years Foundation Phase, safeguarding and health and safety guidelines
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and childcare
- Experience managing CIW inspections would be advantageous

Pay: From £31,000.00 per year
