Lifeguards – Sandcastle Waterpark, Blackpool

Join the Sandcastle Waterpark team as a Lifeguard and play a key part in keeping our guests safe while helping them have an unforgettable experience.
Our Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring safety across our pools, waterslides, and attractions, as well as delivering exceptional guest service throughout every visit.

Excellent pay rate: £8.00 to 13.45 per hour

No experience required – full training provided to gain your NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)

Location: On-site at Sandcastle Waterpark, Blackpool

Requirements
-
Strong swimmer, capable of swimming a minimum of 50 metres

Able to tread water
-
Can dive into the deepest part of the pool (up to 1.8 metres)

Can swim breaststroke and front crawl to an adequate standard

Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team
Desirable
-
Previous experience in a swimming or lifeguard role

Knowledge of water safety procedures
Responsibilities

Constantly monitor swimming areas to identify potential hazards or unsafe behaviour.

Enforce pool rules and regulations to promote safety and prevent accidents.

Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid as required.

Maintain clear communication with pool visitors, staff, and emergency services when necessary.

Conduct regular safety checks of the pool area, including equipment and surroundings.

Assist with organising swimming lessons or aquatic programmes if needed.

Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the pool deck and surrounding areas.
Experience
-
Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.

Knowledge of compliance management related to health and safety standards is advantageous.

Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with visitors and team members.
