At Tipsy Teapot Lincoln, we serve cocktails in teapots, afternoon tea on Ferris wheels, host bottomless brunches, DJ party nights, live events and somehow manage to keep all the plates spinning at once.
We're looking for an Assistant Manager who can do exactly the same.
Someone with a big personality, plenty of common sense, a great sense of humour and the ability to stay calm when everyone else is running around like they've just seen a flamingo on roller skates.
The Role
You'll be one of the key leaders within the business, helping oversee the day-to-day operation of our busy restaurant and cocktail bar.
This is a hands-on management role. You'll be leading shifts, supporting the team, ensuring excellent guest experiences and making sure everything runs smoothly from opening until close.
No two days are ever the same.
One day you'll be organising a sold-out bottomless brunch, the next you'll be managing a busy Saturday service, handling guest enquiries, planning an event, solving problems and keeping the team motivated.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Running shifts and leading the floor
Delivering exceptional customer service
Managing bookings and the reservations diary
Organising private events and special occasions
Supporting and developing the team
Maintaining high standards throughout the venue
Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues
Assisting with stock control and ordering
Opening and closing the venue
Helping drive sales and creating memorable guest experiences
Being a reliable second-in-command when the General Manager is away
What We're Looking For
Previous restaurant or hospitality management experience
A confident, outgoing personality
Ability to stay calm under pressure
Excellent organisational skills
Natural leadership qualities
Great communication skills
A proactive "I'll sort it" attitude
Strong attention to detail
A genuine passion for hospitality
Someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
