Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager for our Children's Residential Service. In this vital leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people. You will work closely with the management team to implement care strategies, supervise staff, and promote positive outcomes for young people. Duties
- Assist the Manager in leading the residential team to deliver exceptional care tailored to each child's needs
- Supervise and support staff, ensuring they follow care plans accurately and maintain professional standards
- Oversee daily routines, including activities, education, and therapeutic interventions, fostering a warm and engaging environment
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements
- Contribute to the development and review of individualized care plans for children with complex needs such as dementia or behavioral challenges
- Administer medication safely in accordance with prescribed guidelines and recordkeeping protocols
- Support staff training and development initiatives to enhance team skills in areas like dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and home care practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in assisted living, nursing home settings, or other senior care environments with children or vulnerable adults
- Demonstrated supervising or management experience within a care home or residential setting
- Knowledge of care plans development and implementation for children with diverse needs including dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent understanding of medication administration procedures and health & safety standards
- Relevant qualifications in nursing, social work, or childcare are highly desirable
- Passionate about providing compassionate, person-centered care that promotes independence and well-being

Pay: £33,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
