Legionella Edinburgh is a one-stop shop for compliance checks for landlords and letting agents in the private rented sector. We work with clients across Edinburgh and the Lothians, carrying out checks at their rental properties to ensure that the properties are legal and their tenants are safe. We’re a small and friendly team focussed on providing an excellent level of service to our clients.
We’re looking for a team member to mainly carry out portable appliance testing and legionella risk assessments at rental properties. Other common duties will include installation of fire alarms, lead in water testing and inspecting properties for maintenance issues. You don’t need to have prior experience, full training to carry out the role will be provided, but experience in property maintenance, PAT testing or the private rented sector would be beneficial.
On a day-to-day basis the successful applicant will be required to work with minimal supervision, travelling to multiple properties throughout the day to carry out the required checks. You’ll be active as you check plumbing systems and test appliances, which may involve accessing loft spaces and moving white goods. As the front face of the business, you’ll be meeting with clients and tenants so strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Essential
- Full clean UK Drivers licence
- Current Basic Disclosure Scotland certificate (or willing to undergo this process)
- Ability to carry out manual work including accessing loft spaces and moving appliances
Desirable
- Experience in carrying out PAT testing
- Experience in carrying out legionella risk assessments
- Property or trades experience, particularly in the private rented sector
