Your New Opportunity: As a Trainee Transport Planner, you'll have the opportunity to begin a rewarding career within the transport and logistics industry, developing the knowledge, skills and experience needed to become a successful Transport Planner.
Working as part of our busy Haulage operations team, you'll receive structured, hands-on training across all aspects of transport planning, fleet operations and customer service while being supported by experienced colleagues throughout your development.
You'll work closely with Transport Planners, drivers, customers and internal teams, gaining valuable operational experience and building the skills required to progress your career within one of Northern Ireland's leading logistics providers.
What This Role Involves:

Support the Transport Planning team with the day-to-day coordination of transport operations.

Assist with planning vehicle movements, routes, deliveries and collections to meet customer requirements.

Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, collections, deliveries and operational updates.

Accurately input, maintain and update information within the Transport Management System (TMS).

Assist with customer enquiries and provide timely updates on deliveries and collections.

Monitor operational systems, emails and reports, escalating issues where appropriate.

Help maintain accurate transport documentation and operational records in line with company procedures.

Work collaboratively with Transport Planners, drivers and other departments to support the efficient running of the operation.

Participate fully in the training programme, developing the knowledge and skills required to become a qualified Transport Planner.
