Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse/Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, warehouse experience, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres.
- Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured properly for transit.
- Assist with inventory management within the warehouse, including stock organisation and replenishment.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery, addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Follow all health and safety regulations during loading, unloading, and driving activities.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Minimum age 30 due to insurance requirements on the vans.
- Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and clients effectively.
- Organised approach to managing schedules and routes efficiently.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
Pay: £28,500.00 per year
