We are recruiting for a part-time manager at our new nursery in London. We are looking to employ someone who is passionate, motivated and wants to develop and lead a team of staff to ensure good, outstanding outcomes with Ofsted while providing the best quality care for the children and families that depend on the nursery.
Full time position
Hours: Mon-Fri, 25-30hours a week
Our requirements for a candidate for this position:
- You will have an appropriate qualification in childcare level 3 or above and safeguarding training.
- Ability to manage services in line with Ofsted and other legislation.
- Experience in successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to a good or outstanding level.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/management position
- Experience of engaging the community and ability to identify growth opportunities. Being innovative and create to promote new ways of working.
- Solid theoretical knowledge and understanding of child development, of children’s needs including special needs.
- Ability to think critically and make decisions. Ability to work flexibly to cope with the changing needs of the nursery.
- Able to work independently and to manage own time efficiently.
- Experience of managing supervision, appraisal of staff and maintaining an effective team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, children and Key partners.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent assessment, planning and record keeping skills and the ability to contribute to the multidisciplinary assessment of and planning for individual children. Experience in writing reports, letters, appraisals and emails.
