Job Summary
My client is seeking reliable Truck Drivers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods trailer dropping with 5/6 nights out per week. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while ensuring timely deliveries.
Duties
- Be available for trailer dropping on a 5 nights out journey weekly
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving,
- Strong understanding of delivery driver responsibilities and best practices.
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in relation to safety protocols and vehicle maintenance.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
