Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments swiftly and safely using appropriate materials handling equipment such as forklifts
- Manage inbound and outbound shipping & receiving processes with precision and attention to detail
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory, update stock levels, and ensure data accuracy
- Conduct mechanical checks on equipment and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed
- Assist in organizing warehouse space efficiently to optimize storage capacity and accessibility
- Follow safety procedures diligently, including proper lifting techniques for heavy loads and maintaining a clean work environment
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience can be advantageous for troubleshooting equipment or handling materials effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout shifts
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures ensures accurate processing of goods and documentation
