Our client is a leading supplier of products within the construction and agricultural market. They provide a full-service solution across Design, Supply & Installation. With a strong industry reputation, they are now looking for an Junior Estimator to join their growing team.
Role Overview
This is a customer-facing role requiring a keen eye for detail, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work from CAD software and technical drawings. As an Estimator you will be responsible for managing document control, producing accurate take-offs, and assisting in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cost estimates for products across a range of construction projects
- Support with reviewing drawings/specifications
- Use CAD and Bluebeam to assist with quantity take-offs
- Help prepare accurate Bills of Quantities
- Liaising with customers
- Maintain project documentation
Key Requirements
- Previous experience within the construction industry, ideally in a junior estimating, technical, or commercial role
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Some experience with quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BoQs) would be advantageous
- Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with CAD and/or Bluebeam is desirable
- Well organised with good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
