Plant & Equipment Delivery Driver
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum + Overtime Paid at 1.5x
Location: Enfield
Working Hours: Flexible 45-hour week, Monday to Friday
Are you a dependable and customer-focused driver looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? We're looking for a Plant & Equipment Delivery Driver to join a busy operation, delivering and collecting tools, small plant, and construction equipment to customers across the region.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional team, working with high-quality equipment while providing an excellent service to customers in the construction and trade sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect small plant, tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload equipment, ensuring all items are secured correctly for transport.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and keep your vehicle clean and roadworthy.
- Demonstrate equipment to customers where required and answer basic operational questions.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and electronically where applicable.
- Provide a professional and friendly service, acting as the face of the business.
- Report any damaged or faulty equipment and vehicle defects promptly.
- Work closely with the depot team to ensure deliveries and collections run smoothly.
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previous experience in a multi-drop, delivery, or commercial driving role.
- Experience within the plant hire, construction, builders' merchants, or tool hire industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Good geographical knowledge and ability to plan efficient delivery routes.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift experience is beneficial but not essential.
