We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join our facilities team as a Cleaning Team Leader.
As Team Leader, you will supervise the Housekeeping and Laundry Teams to ensure our hospice environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming.
- Lead and deliver an effective cleaning operation ensuring systems and processes are efficient and aligned with organisational goals.
- Support the Head of Facilities with the delivery of the annual health & safety and infection prevention control audits, working collaboratively with consultants and staff to achieve high standards of safety at the hospice.
- Manage housekeeping equipment and stock efficiently and effectively, meeting the required Trinity standards and fulfil all statutory and regulatory obligations.
- In conjunction with Head of Facilities and Health & Safety Consultants, to ensure the internal and external environment is safe and that all relevant risk management activities (including incident management system) are completed to required standards.
- Manage and develop staff members in the housekeeping team.
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role within cleaning, housekeeping, or laundry services, preferably in healthcare or hospitality settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and approachable manner.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across teams, ensuring a high-quality, responsive service for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Expertise in cleaning and hygiene practices, ensuring tasks are performed to the highest standard.
- Strong knowledge of workplace regulations, including COSHH, Infection Control, and Health and Safety requirements.
- Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience working with clinical teams to ensure patient rooms meet required standards.
- Commitment to compliance with all hospice policies and statutory regulations for safe and hygienic clinical operations.
- Competent in Microsoft Office packages.
