Deputy Garden Centre Manager
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of our busy and customer-focused garden centre. Working closely with the Garden Centre Manager, you will help lead the team, drive sales, and ensure excellent standards across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Garden Centre Manager in daily operations
- Lead, motivate, and develop the team
- Deliver outstanding customer service at all times
- Ensure high standards of plant care, merchandising, and presentation
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and waste control
- Assist with rotas, training, and performance management
- Ensure health & safety procedures are followed
About You
- Previous retail management or supervisory experience (garden centre or horticultural experience desirable but not essential)
- A passion for customer service and team leadership
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable
- Willing to work weekends and peak seasonal periods
