Looking for a different kind of nursing role?
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who still enjoys using your clinical knowledge but is ready for a role that focuses on supporting others, improving quality and providing clinical oversight rather than delivering hands-on nursing care?
Support at Home is looking for a compassionate and experienced nurse to join our growing clinical team.
Working alongside our Clinical Lead, you'll use your professional expertise to support the safe delivery of complex care within people's own homes through clinical guidance, staff development, competency assessment and quality assurance.
About us
Support at Home is an established, family-run domiciliary care provider delivering high-quality care and support across Halton, Warrington, Liverpool and the surrounding areas.
As our complex care service continues to grow, we're investing in strong clinical leadership to ensure we continue to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care.
About the role
This is not a traditional nursing role.
You won't carry a nursing caseload or provide routine hands-on nursing interventions. Instead, you'll work alongside our Clinical Lead and Registered Manager to support the safe delivery of complex care through clinical oversight, governance and workforce development.
The role combines office-based work with community visits, providing variety and the opportunity to build strong relationships with our care teams and the people we support.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Supporting assessments and reviews for individuals with complex healthcare needs.
· Developing and reviewing person-centred care plans.
· Completing competency assessments for care staff.
· Delivering clinical training and coaching.
· Supporting delegated healthcare interventions.
· Carrying out quality assurance visits.
· Participating in clinical audits and governance activities.
· Monitoring clinical documentation and standards.
· Liaising with GPs, District Nurses, Continuing Healthcare teams and other healthcare professionals.
· Supporting continuous learning and service improvement.
About you
You'll be an experienced Registered Adult Nurse who enjoys supporting others and wants to use your nursing knowledge in a role centred on leadership, guidance and clinical quality.
Essential
· Current NMC Registration (Adult Nurse).
· Previous post-registration nursing experience.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong clinical judgement.
· Good IT skills.
· Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Desirable
· Community or District Nursing experience.
· Complex Care experience.
· Continuing Healthcare experience.
· Experience delivering training or assessing staff competencies.
· Knowledge of CQC standards and clinical governance.
What we offer
· Fixed part-time contract of 17.5 hours per week.
· A supportive, family-run organisation.
· Ongoing professional development.
· Clinical supervision and mentorship from an experienced Clinical Lead.
· Opportunity to help shape and develop an expanding complex care service.
· A varied role combining office-based work with community visits.
Please note: While the role is based on a fixed part-time contract, there may be occasional requirements to undertake competency observations, care assessments or quality assurance visits outside of normal working hours to reflect the needs of the service and observe staff during their scheduled shifts.
Why join us?
At Support at Home, we believe exceptional care starts with exceptional people. You'll be joining a friendly, supportive organisation where your knowledge, experience and ideas are valued. This is an opportunity to step away from traditional clinical shift work while continuing to use your nursing expertise to support high-quality, person-centred care for people with complex healthcare needs living in their own homes.
If you're looking for a rewarding role where your clinical knowledge can make a lasting difference, we'd love to hear from you.
