Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble structural components using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
- Perform carpentry and joinery tasks, including framing, fitting, and finishing.
- Install roofing systems, ensuring durability and weather resistance.
- Conduct masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and other related tasks.
- Assist with plumbing and electrical installations as required, following safety protocols.
- Carry out construction painting to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material movement and assembly processes.
- Follow detailed plans and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work or related fields.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised construction equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques and materials.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of construction work.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Physical fitness suitable for demanding manual labour tasks across various weather conditions.
