Nelson’s Journey, Norfolk’s leading child bereavement charity, is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant who will support the charity’s operations with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.
The post-holder will be managed by the Office Manager, and work with colleagues across the charity, to achieve efficiencies in the charity’s administrative and operational functions. The post-holder will deliver general administrative functions to enable the charity’s operations such as the preparation of therapeutic activities, processing income, updating databases and spreadsheets, and dealing with enquiries to the charity. The successful candidate will have exceptional IT and organisational skills and be able to work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a small team.
The post is part-time (paid pro-rata of indicated FTE salary), and line managed by our full-time Office Manager. The ability to operate effectively independent of close management and alongside other colleagues is essential.
Candidates should have admin and office skills, be exceptionally well organised, be able to work effectively within a busy office team environment, and be committed to the charity’s purpose and values.
Applicants must be able to drive and provide a car for which a mileage rate will be paid. Business use insurance must be in place for the vehicle.
The post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The successful candidate must be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people. Right to Work in the UK will need to be established. We are an equal opportunities employer.
Nelson’s Journey offers generous annual leave entitlement of 26 days (pro-rata for part-time), in addition to bank holidays and public holidays.
The post is office based at our charity HQ in Little Plumstead, near Norwich.
