Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Support Workers to provide high-quality care to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidates will have experience in assisted living, patient care, and senior support, with a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients. Duties
- Deliver personalised care plans tailored to each client’s needs, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Administer medication and monitor health conditions in accordance with healthcare professionals' instructions.
- Prepare nutritious meals suited to individual dietary requirements and preferences.
- Support clients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or hospice needs through behaviour management and specialised care techniques.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
- Drive clients safely to appointments, social activities, or errands as required.
- Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary.
- Document care provided accurately and report any concerns or changes in health status to supervisors or healthcare teams.
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, home care, nursing home environments, or hospice care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, and behaviour management techniques is advantageous.
- Experience in medication administration and first aid certification is preferred.
- Proven ability in caregiving roles involving senior citizens or individuals with special needs such as dementia or hospice requirements.
- Valid driving licence and safe driving record are essential for transporting clients safely.
- Additional skills such as meal preparation, heavy lifting capability, childcare experience, or general nursing support will be considered an asset.
