In this vital role, you will proactively monitor event venues, manage access points, and respond swiftly to any incidents to create a secure environment for attendees, staff, and performers alike. Duties
- Conduct thorough surveillance of event areas using CCTV systems to monitor activity and identify potential security concerns
- Manage access control by verifying tickets, credentials, and identification for attendees, staff, and vendors
- Perform loss prevention measures by observing for theft or suspicious behavior and intervening when necessary
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by following established protocols and coordinating with emergency services if required
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and access records throughout each event shift
- Conduct visual inspections of the venue perimeter, entrances, and exits to ensure safety compliance
- Provide first aid assistance when needed and assist in crowd control to promote a safe environment
Requirements
- Proven ability to remain vigilant through surveillance techniques such as CCTV monitoring and physical patrols
- Experience in loss prevention or security roles preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance equipment is advantageous
- Certification in first aid or CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods during events
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to safety and security
