We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer to join our dynamic software development team. Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber to ensure efficient test coverage.
- Perform functional, system, performance, load, and user acceptance testing across diverse applications including web, mobile (Android and iOS), and enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases aligned with SDLC best practices.
- Conduct root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases and work with developers to facilitate timely resolution.
- Implement continuous integration processes using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to streamline testing workflows within DevOps pipelines.
- Participate in release management activities by validating software releases and verifying compliance with quality standards.
- Analyse test results and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders; identify areas for process improvement in testing strategies.
- Support system troubleshooting efforts by diagnosing issues related to APIs, web services (SOAP/REST), database connectivity (SQL/PL/SQL), and network configurations.
- Assist in requirements gathering sessions with business analysts and clients to ensure test plans align with business needs.
- Contribute to the maintenance of testing environments across operating systems including Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance within a fast-paced development environment.
- Strong knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (or similar).
- Familiarity with continuous integration/delivery pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or equivalent tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Java, C#, Python, or C++, along with scripting skills in Bash or PowerShell.
- Experience working with APIs (REST/SOAP), web services, databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server), and related technologies like JDBC or Hibernate.
- Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies including Waterfall and Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Ability to perform performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools; experience with system testing is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to software components or infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams; capable of documenting detailed test cases and defect reports clearly.
- Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: £24,420.00-£62,245.96 per year
