Job Summary
We are a well-established and friendly accountancy practice seeking an experienced Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working in a small practice environment, handling a varied portfolio of clients and playing a key role in delivering high-quality services.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
- Assisting with audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Preparation and submission of corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact
- Providing general accounting and business advice to clients
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
Requirements
- Qualified or part-qualified (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
- Proven experience in a small or medium-sized accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of accounts preparation for companies and sole traders
- Audit experience is desirable
- Good working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage)
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
