Overview
We are seeking a motivated and caring Care Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will deliver essential support to clients in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will make a meaningful difference in their daily lives.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Follow personalized care plans to meet individual needs effectively
- Support clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring under supervision
- Maintain clear and compassionate communication with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Use IT systems to document care activities accurately and efficiently
- Drive between different care settings when required, ensuring timely support delivery
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Valid driving license with the ability to drive safely between locations
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care services
- Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them precisely
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
- Good physical fitness to assist with mobility tasks and personal care activities
