Duties
- Serve drinks and refreshments efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar
- Prepare and mix beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including glasses, garnishes, and beverages
- Assist in setting up for events or special occasions as required
- Provide friendly assistance and answer customer queries promptly to enhance their experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with diverse customers
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
