Area: Regional - Largely central England (manchester, cambridge, oxford), however travel to all parts of the UK and nights away will be required with very occasional travel abroad. A company van will be supplied.

Job Specification: Service and Installation Engineer (Field Based)
As a member of the Field Service Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support and customer service to all customers. Attending a variety of customer sites to perform PPM visits, emergency repairs and installations.
- Service and calibration of cryogenic control systems and gas monitoring systems
- Work closely with the Engineering Admin team to ensure jobs are completed successfully and efficiently, in line with customer expectations
- Carry out small installation works, including cable running, mounting equipment and conduit, full commissioning and onsite user training
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide excellent onsite support
- Take responsibility and accountability for van stock and calibration gas holding, ensuring stock levels are appropriate for your region and that life-critical components are cycled regularly to support a first-time fix wherever possible
- Provide over-the-phone technical assistance to customers
- Complete technical projects when not onsite
- Complete engineering paperwork to a high standard
- Identify sales opportunities and report these back to the internal team for follow-up
Required skills:
- Full UK driving licence

Desired Skills:
- Qualification in Electronics or Electrics
- Confined Space, IPAF and First Aid trained is preferable, but training provided
- Working knowledge of control panel assembly and components. PLC knowledge would be helpful but not a requirement.
