Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tractor Driver to operate a tractor for the upcoming harvest season. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for machinery operation and a strong work ethic to contribute to our team’s success.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractors efficiently in an agricultural enviroment like chaser driving for harvest
- Conduct routine inspections of the tractor and attached equipment, identifying any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance needs.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks within specified timeframes.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks such as minor repairs or adjustments to machinery when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience of driving tractors and harvester chasing
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicle operation.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to safety protocols.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift moderate loads when required.
This position will involve harvest working hours so hours will likely be long days dependent on the weather of 12 hour shifts starting around 7:30am and could be up to 7 days per week. This role will pay £13.50 per hour with overtime at time and half.
