We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer / Skilled Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs while supporting various construction tasks. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation and repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to cut, shape, and install roofing materials and related structures.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, insulation, and other roofing components safely and efficiently.
- Assist with carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and other construction tasks as needed to support roofing projects.
- Measure surfaces accurately and prepare surfaces for roofing installation or repair work.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of work to maintain a secure job site environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high standards of quality.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings for roofing and construction projects.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and the use of hand tools and power tools in a construction setting.
- Solid background in roofing installation, repair, and maintenance techniques.
- Knowledge of carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and general construction practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout the workday.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to working at heights and operating construction equipment.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
