Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms to record, track, and report financial data
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records
- Mentor junior team members on best practices in financial management and accounting procedures
- Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
- Strong understanding of financial services industry practices and regulations
- Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting, accounts payable, and general ledger management
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Effective communication skills for mentoring team members and collaborating across departments
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus
- Familiarity with financial management tools and systems used for reporting and analysis

Pay: £25,420.00-£59,248.61 per year
