About Bliss Care
Bliss Care is owned and managed by two experienced nurses with extensive knowledge of care home operations. We are looking for a confident and compassionate Senior Carer / Care Team Leader to join our team.
Our purpose is to provide the highest standard of person-centred care to every resident. In this frontline leadership role, you will help ensure residents feel safe, respected, comfortable and well supported.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Carer / Team Leader, you will:
- Lead, support and motivate care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
- Assist the Care Home Manager with day-to-day operations and staff supervision
- Administer medication safely and accurately in line with policies and procedures
- Ensure residents’ care plans are accurate, up to date and reflect their individual needs
- Monitor care standards and support compliance with CQC requirements
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals
- Support residents’ emotional, physical and social well-being
- Act as a positive role model for the care team
- Promote a safe, supportive and respectful working environment
- Respond calmly and professionally to changing situations
About You
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- At least two years’ experience in a similar senior care position, such as Senior Carer, Care Supervisor or Team Leader
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- A compassionate, reliable and professional approach
- A commitment to delivering high-quality care
- An understanding of CQC regulations and person-centred care
- Confidence using digital systems and care technology
- The flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required
- A positive and approachable personality
An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred but not essential.
