Working Days: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
Hours: Rotating 9-hour shifts between 7:15am and 5:45pm
Salary: Competitive – above National Minimum Wage, dependent on experience
About the Role
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly nursery team. The successful candidate must have previous experience working within a nursery setting and must be confident in the role of a key worker, building strong relationships with children and their families while supporting each child's learning and development.
You will work as part of a supportive team to provide high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring children are safe, happy and able to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and learning opportunities for children aged 0–5 years.
- Act as a key worker, planning for and monitoring the development of your key children.
- Build positive partnerships with parents and carers, sharing information about children's progress and wellbeing.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's individual learning and development.
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments and records in line with EYFS requirements.
- Promote children's health, safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Work effectively as part of the nursery team to create a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Previous experience working in a nursery setting.
- Experience of working as a key worker.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
