Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance standards within our hospitality establishment. The successful candidate will lead a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of hygiene, presentation, and safety. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities to ensure efficient operations
- Lead, motivate, and support housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, suites, and public areas to maintain quality standards
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all housekeeping activities
- Develop work schedules that optimise staffing levels while maintaining flexibility for peak times
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth hotel operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services, with previous supervisory roles preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest service excellence
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required
