People House Recruitment is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for ongoing general haulage work based in Peterborough.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure regular work with a busy transport operation offering a variety of trailer types, modern vehicles and consistent shifts throughout the week.
The Role
You'll complete general haulage deliveries and collections, operating curtain side, refrigerated and bulk tipper trailers. Loads include agricultural products such as grain, wheat and animal feed, alongside general freight.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete deliveries and collections safely and efficiently.
- Operate Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles across various trailer types.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
- Complete transport paperwork accurately.
- Comply with Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
- Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
- Experience with curtain side, refrigerated or bulk tipper trailers is advantageous.
- Flexible approach to working days, nights and weekends.
