Job Summary
Come and work for a small, friendly building firm. Applicants must be reliable and prompt. You must be CIS registered and have your own transport. The work is mainly in and around the Alton area. A good level of previous experience is expected. As well as general labouring, there will be the opportunity to develop your own skills. We cover a range of building works from extensions, renovations, new builds, barn conversions, landscaping and some commercial work. The varied types of work should keep it interesting!
Duties
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites, clearing debris etc.
- Support carpenters, bricklayers, roofers, and other trades by handling materials, tools, and equipment as needed
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to assist with tasks such as framing, roofing, or finishing work
- Help with construction painting, plumbing installations, masonry work, or fabrication tasks under supervision
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency on site
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Experience
- Previous experience working on construction sites or in a manual labour role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments is advantageous
- Basic understanding of trades such as carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail
Pay: From £140.00 per day
