Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated full time Nursery Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment where young children can learn, explore, and develop essential skills.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and well-being of children in line with early childhood education standards
- Supervise and support children’s daily routines, including playtime, meals, naps, and learning sessions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that adheres to health and safety regulations
- Build strong relationships with children to support their emotional and social development
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress and any concerns
- Support children with additional needs including delivering targeted interventions
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and nursery policies at all times
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in childcare
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Enhanced DBS (ideally on the update service)
- Two professional references
