Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Based in Huncoat, Nr Accrington

We are currently looking for a qualified, hands-on Electrical Maintenance and Installation Engineer to join our busy manufacturing operation in Huncoat. You’ll play a key role in all aspects of site electrical maintenance and related activities, including machinery, equipment, plant services, facilities, buildings, and relevant projects where required.
With a strong electrical focus and the opportunity to work across mechanical systems, this is a varied role where no two days are the same.
The Role:
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance and installation tasks, both planned and reactive, liaising closely with the Site Supervisor.
- Conducting periodic electrical and mechanical maintenance checks to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Fault finding, maintaining, servicing, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment across the site.
- Implementing improvements to machine reliability, performance, and productivity.
- Investigating electrical and mechanical equipment breakdowns and monitoring performance of equipment after repairs have been completed.
- Carrying out mechanical maintenance, servicing, and repairs where required.
- Working primarily on electrical systems and equipment, whilst being able to diagnose and carry out repairs on mechanical equipment.
- Completing all required documentation to ensure the capture of all faults, parts, solutions, and historical data.
- Liaising with key stakeholders across the business on electrical and mechanical-related matters.
- Supporting the wider maintenance team with both electrical and mechanical maintenance requirements.
The Person:
- Minimum Level 3. HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experienced within electrical maintenance and installation (Essential).
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Expert in fault finding and technical troubleshooting.
- Proactive, positive team player with a “can do” attitude.
- Effective communicator.
- IT literate.
