The Role
As a Mercedes-Benz Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of service operations, defined assembly operations and maintenance repairs with the highest level of quality and efficiency.
To carry out all service and repair tasks across the full model range as instructed. All service and maintenance work is to be completed with the utmost quality and efficiency.
Comprehensive diagnosis and repair of malfunctions.
Using specialist knowledge and a high diagnostic ability to both support Maintenance Technicians and to carry out extensive vehicle repairs as instructed.
Responsibilities

Performance of all maintenance services according to the manufacturer’s instructions and according to the maintenance schedule/Service processor

All visual inspections, adjustment operations, adjustments, operating fluid changes and additions, replacement of worn equipment (e.g. brake linings)

Formulation of difficult and complex diagnoses using up-to-date diagnosis technology, approaches/methods, and procedures.

Carry out complex disassembly/assembly procedures, e.g. repair of automatic transmissions or rectification of engine running complaints.

Install additional, extensive and complex components and systems using the instructions.

Independently carries out final inspections and function tests on all complex repair work

Parameterises with the help of technologies/systems, and performs data transfer/updates soft ware

Guides maintenance technicians in extensive repair operations case-by-case in teamwork and supervises quality and safety

Clarifies complex diagnosis jobs directly with the customer in cooperation with the diagnostic technician and/or service advisor

Provides for professional re-documentation, e.g. Warranty processes and legally necessitated jobs requiring documentation (e.g. VOSA MOT Documentation

Diagnosis and repair services for defined and qualified specialities: (drive and power systems/functions, Traction control and driving safety, systems/functions, comfort and safety systems/functions)

telecommunications and HMI systems/functions
About You
Mercedes-Benz of Salisbury is looking for a technician who is keen to take on a new challenge with a brand that is at the forefront of technology and innovation. You will be a fully qualified Technician with main dealer experience.
In addition, you must hold a full clean driving licence.
Essential Skills Required

Level 3 qualified in Vehicle Servicing & Repair

Experience of working for an automotive retailer, preferably within main dealer

High level of attention to detail

Ability to work as part of a team

Good level of communication
On Offer
Salary: Basic £36,000 OTE: £45,000
Hours of work
Monday to Friday, 08.00 to 17.30 (30-minute unpaid lunch break and 2 x 15-minute unpaid tea breaks).
42.5 hours per week.
Saturday morning working on a rota basis will also be a requirement of the role.
