Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Self-employed Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Perform dental hygiene procedures including cleaning, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and current dental conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary advice, and preventive care strategies.
- Assist with dental procedures by preparing the treatment area and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits.
- Support the use of medical imaging tools to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with health regulations and confidentiality standards.
Requirements
- Qualified Dental Hygienist with valid registration/license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction including the right to work in the UK.
- Proven experience in performing dental hygiene procedures with a focus on patient education and preventive care.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, including oral cavity structures, to accurately assess and treat patients.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques relevant to dental diagnostics.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with dental team members.
- Ability to work independently as a self-employed professional while maintaining high standards of care.
- A valid Indemnity Insurance with one of UK's reputable providers.
- Hepatitis B Vaccination Certificate.
- An up to date DBS check Certificate.
