About TEGEN
TEGEN is a premium British hair accessories brand based in Brighton, sold through our own Shopify website. We're a small, close-knit team, so everyone's contribution genuinely shapes how the business runs. We're looking for someone who wants to get properly stuck in, not just tick boxes.
The role
You'll be the person who keeps our e-commerce systems running smoothly, keeps our website current, and looks for smarter ways to do things. A big part of this role is building automations and using AI tools, such as Claude and Make, to streamline everyday tasks and support our website's SEO and search visibility, including how we appear in AI-driven search (GEO). You'll be trusted to manage your own workload and use good judgement, working closely with a small, hands-on team.
What you'll be doing
- Managing our e-commerce platforms and integrations (Shopify, order and inventory systems, Gorgias)
- Actively identifying and building automations and AI-assisted workflows that improve efficiency across the business
- Keeping our website content current and supporting SEO and GEO, using AI tools to work efficiently
- Tracking key operational data and KPIs, using spreadsheets and dashboards to spot trends and flag issues early
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational and fulfilment tasks
- Pitching in on customer service from time to time, particularly during busy periods or team absences, alongside the rest of the team
- Keeping clear, documented processes so systems and knowledge aren't held in one person's head
What we're looking for
- A genuine head for systems and problem-solving, and enthusiasm for using AI tools to improve how things work
- An eye for good writing, since you'll be working on website content and copy
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational instincts
- Confident working independently and using initiative
- A team player who's happy in a small business environment where everyone pitches in
- No previous e-commerce experience necessary, we're looking for the right attitude and aptitude, and we'll support you in learning our systems
What we offer
- 28 days holiday, inclusive of bank holidays
- 50% staff discount on TEGEN products
- Company pension scheme
- Christmas bonus
- Daily coffee/drinks, paid for by the business
- Regular team socials, including meals out a few times a year
- Opportunity for professional development and growth within the company
