As Senior Operations Manager, you will take operational leadership and day-to-day responsibility for managing a safe, efficient and customer-focused warehouse operation. You'll be responsible for ensuring operational standards are consistently achieved while delivering against customer requirements, contractual obligations and business objectives. Working closely with both DHL and customer stakeholders, you will champion operational excellence, drive continuous improvement and lead a culture where safety, engagement and performance are at the forefront of everything we do.
✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Take operational leadership and day-to-day responsibility for managing a safe and efficient operation, ensuring operational standards and customer requirements are consistently achieved.
- Lead and maintain an effective Health & Safety culture in partnership with the Health & Safety Business Partner, promoting behavioural safety tools and proactive engagement across all operational teams.
- Ensure site operations meet all KPI and SLA targets as defined within contractual agreements and Change Control Notes.
- Establish and maintain strong communication channels with Management teams to ensure effective parts supply, supporting production schedules and maintaining efficient warehouse flow.
- Ensure operational data relating to the site is accurately captured by department heads, validated and updated in a timely manner to support real-time decision making and customer reporting.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas to enhance efficiency, quality, productivity and service performance.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted operational partner.

- Proven experience within a warehouse, logistics or supply chain environment.
- Experience leading and managing operational teams within a fast-paced setting.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Experience building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage operational performance against KPIs and service levels.
- A proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
- Automotive industry experience or knowledge.
- Experience working within a customer-focused contract logistics environment.
- Knowledge of lean methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
