Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Sustainability Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for advising the Company on all sustainability related issues. Implementing sustainable processes and strategies to ensure that the company, not only meets its legal requirements, but also makes a valuable contribution to solving global challenges. As Sustainability Manager, you will liaise with many internal departments such as Finance, Engineering and farming as well as our customers.
Duties:
- Developing and implementing a sustainability strategy in alignment with company goals
- Lead and coordinate sustainability initiatives and projects across departments
- Conducting research and analysis on the latest sustainability trends and best practices
- Preparing reports on the progress of sustainability efforts and presenting findings to senior management
- Engaging with external stakeholders on sustainability issues
- Developing and managing budgets for sustainability initiatives
- Maintaining awareness of new legislation and regulations related to sustainability
- Timely submission of information onto sustainability platforms eg Manufacture 2030, SBTI
Requirements:
- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in environmental management or related field
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills for data analysis and problem-solving
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
- Ability to gather requirements from various sources and translate them into actionable plans
